I' m not sure if anyone has already done any of these but-
1) the Witchwood in Ashton. For the longest time it was though the witchwood was going to close, what with the redevelopments taking place around it. However it' s stayed open and not likely to vanish anytime soon. Maybe an interview with the owner about how it came to stay open ? It' s a pretty important spot in terms of local music for greater manchester, I can think of a lot of bands and a lot of good nights spent there growing up.
2) Affleck's palace. Same deal as the witchwood, only this time the rumour was it was being turned into flats and redeveloped. Loads of shops moved out, but it' s staying open now, although I don't know if anyone has any hard proof as to why that is. Maybe an interview with the owner to clarify ? It' s one of the most iconic places in manchester for the alternative scene, so if noone' s already done it I would love to cover it |
