We're slowly but surely making myvillage bigger and better. Which means more new sites in your areas.
We need new articles from the people who know a place best - the top bars, best places to eat, a little local history, some insider info.
Can you help us to kick start the following sites?
Newport
Merthyr Tydfil
Swansea
Llanelli
Newtown
Bangor
Denbigh |

| I don't live in any of the areas, but I do know venues in Newport and Merthyr Tydfil which I could write about, if that helps. |

Hi Lais, anything for either of those places would be fab thanks!
Are they specific venues or could you do us an overview of local hangouts? |

Well, for Newport, I know TJ's, the Newport Centre and the NCLA, and for Merthyr, I know the Studio Bar. Unfortunately I wouldn't really be able to give you a general overview because I only know places that I've been to gigs in I'm afraid.
I could also talk about Newport town centre, which I am slightly familiar with. |

Lais, how about some short (250 word) reviews on those venues and a piece on Newport town centre (400 words) - who hangs out there, is it a good place to shop, a good place to drink? What could improve it? I'll leave the angle up to you...
Thanks x |

Hi Laura,
I would be happy to do some short reviews on the venues, but I don't think I am familiar enough with Newport town centre to write a 400 word review of it, as I haven't been to the centre for a couple of years. But if you need me to do it, I'm sure I could organise a trip there or get someone to help me out though!
I'll get back to you with the venue reviews as soon as I can. |

| I'll get these done as soon as I can, but unfortunately my internet is down at the moment. Using someone else's currently, but as soon as mine's working, I'll be on the job! |

| I grew up in Merthyr area before spending over ten years in Swansea and now have just recently moved to Neath. I would like to try my hand at a few articles if you can be a bit more specific on criteria of what you are looking for. |

Hi Scarlet,
Anythign you have on Merthyr, Swansea or any of our other Welsh areas would be fab.
At the moment we're requesting articles along the lines of:
Top Five Local Bars
Hidden Gems (ie: off the beaten track shops, bars, restaurants etc)
Short reviews of local venues
The Local Arts Scene
At the end of the day it's you guys who know the areas and know what people in those areas are talking about so we're happy to take on your suggestions too...
Generally we ask for articles that are anywhere between 300 and 750 words depending on the subject.
Whaddya reckon? |

Ok - no worries. Have just finished writing my first one entitled
'Fairy godmother? What about a Knight in the Gower instead?' |

Hi Pocketwatch,
Any short (around 100 word) reviews you could give us on Cardiff would be great for starters. Meanwhile for Swansea (or any other of the S Wales areas) we'd love to have some words, these are a few ideas from previous articles to get you started:
Top Five Bars, Top Five Restaurants, Best Places for Clubbing, Arts Scene Guides, Where to Hear Live Music, How To Spend a Lazy Sunday, Shopping Guides, Top Five Hidden Gems...
Any of those take your fancy? x |

I must say that Top Five Bars, Top Five Restaurants,Shopping Guides and Top Five Hidden Gems sound like they will be a good idea, but i'll have a go at all the possibilities and start sending in something on swansea soon.
As for Cardiff i'll try to find something for you.
