I'm an active 27 year old London born, Reading based. In my 27 years I have lived and studied all over the UK. A keen interest in Writing and current affairs has remained despite being pushed in various wrong directions since childhood.
I love life and my interests are many and varied, from hiking to eating out to bars and clubs...I love to meet new people and experience new cultures, ways of life, understand differences of opinion. I enjoy a challenge and will never be afraid to ask...something which used to drive my lecturers mad..ha ha
Somewhat ironically considering my hatred for maths as a child I have worked In finance for many years, and although I enjoy it, (current credit crunch situation and constant risk of redundancy aside...) My heart still lies in writing and journalism.
Writing is my release and when I feel most comfortable and competent I'm hoping to be given the opportunity to contribute to this website and look forward to getting to know others who appreciate creativity over regiment, order and corporate structures...Regardless of this however I will for now remain in a suit from the hours of 9-5 assessing risk until such time as I become brave enough to pursue my writing career.
Although I can see there is no network for Reading as yet, I am in close proximity and or visit a number of cities regularly, London, Bristol, Bath, Leeds, Nottingham so hopefully I can still be useful. |

hi GymBunny1
thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the board.
what we're after at myvillage is LOCAL content from those in the know i.e. you.
so if you want to put together some local guides to eating/drinking/arts & culture/clubing etc feel free.
we're always on the look out for venue reviews as well, and these can posted live to the relevent site.
keep an eye on our 'articles wanted' section for free tix and promotional parties, and if you've got any article ideas please post them to 'make a suggestion' before getting started.
look forward to hearing from you.
best wishes
