Hi all,
I'm Rosie, I'm a 23 year old English graduate, working in what, to me, is a dead end job in a bank. I have always wanted to break into journalism and got off to a good start a few years ago with some excellent work experience but got waylaid by the tempation of the evil dollar a year ago and have never left my supposedly temporary job.
I live near Bath and Bristol, and went to uni in Cardiff, a place I love and visit as often as I can. I am interested in many things, principally travelling, music, cinema ... you know my ilk. My ideal job would be working for Lonely Planet but I understand this is a big ask and, having done a wee bit of work for my student newspaper and magazine, would love to use MyVillage to help me build up a portfolio. My main hobby is travelling in some way or other ... my boyfriend and I have always got a minimum of 3 trips planned to far flung places. If I could write about this it would be ideal, other than that I will try my hand at anything.
Anyhoo, I am rambling so I'll let you get back to your very important lives and can't wait to start working with you.

hi there rosie
welcome to the board.
what we're after at myvillage.com is LOCAL content from people in the know i.e. you
so how about putting your travel journalism to practice on the places you know and love i.e. bristol, bath and cardiff.
guides to little known places, where to eat and drink, an arts and culture low down on the city of your choice etc etc etc.
post your ideas to the 'make a suggestion' section on this board and keep your eyes on the 'articles wanted' for free tix and promotional parties.
best wishes
